We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is integral to our mission of providing high-quality patient care. It involves a combination of administrative and clinical tasks, including measuring vital signs, managing electronic health records (EHR), performing phlebotomy, and assisting with medical procedures.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Medical Assistant, your duties will include but are not limited to
- Assisting physicians and nurses during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
- Performing routine clinical tasks such as measuring vital signs, administering injections, and drawing blood (phlebotomy).
- Accurately recording patient information and medical histories in our Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Preparing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment before procedures.
- Scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and maintaining communication with patients and their families.
- Ensuring that examination rooms are clean, stocked, and ready for patients.
- Adhering to all relevant health and safety standards, as well as legal regulations.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar role within the healthcare industry.
- Proficiency in measuring vital signs and performing phlebotomy.
- Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
- Familiarity with medical procedures and terminologies.
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) is preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient-focused approach.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights when necessary.
