We are seeking a seasoned MEP Senior Plumbing Engineer to join our innovative Engineering team. The individual will play a critical role in designing and implementing complex plumbing systems for a wide range of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and supervise the installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, waste, and venting systems, in accordance with local, state, and international building codes.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other engineering professionals to ensure the seamless integration of plumbing systems into overall building designs.
- Use advanced design software such as AutoCAD and Revit to create detailed plumbing layouts and schematics.
- Perform hydraulic calculations, equipment sizing, and system modeling to ensure optimal system performance.
- Conduct site inspections and system testing to verify the installation and operation of plumbing systems.
- Prepare technical reports, specifications, and contract documents for plumbing systems.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in plumbing engineering, including new materials, technologies, and design practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing design, with a focus on commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Engineer-In-Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
- Proficient in using AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and international building codes related to plumbing systems.
- Experience with HVAC systems design and integration.
- Familiarity with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and LEED certification processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to design efficient and cost-effective plumbing systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with various project stakeholders.
