Main Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of mechanical equipment issues both in-shop and at customer sites
- Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
- Comprehension of conveyor dynamics and material handling fundamentals
- Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
- Assemble machinery prior to installation
- Start-up and testing
- Understand and read Engineered Blueprints and drawings
- Shutdown operations
- Rigging and handling
- Bearing, seals and packing
- Keep work area and equipment in a safe, clean and orderly condition
- Perform duties and operate equipment in a safe and satisfactory manner
- Responsible time management
- Accurate documentation of work and timelines
- Experience in bulk material handling is an asset
- Laser alignment of pulleys, drives and gearboxes
- Must have a valid unrestricted driver's license
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable working outdoors, at heights, underground or in confined areas.
- Must be willing to receive MSHA training
- Comply with federal regulations on mandatory drug testing
- Willingness to travel
- Willingness and ability to work overtime and/or irregular hours
- Willingness and ability to work in remote locations
- Mechanically inclined to read work orders, use tools and equipment.
- Technical training in heavy-weight conveyor belting preferred.
- At least 3 years of millwright experience
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety issues
- Able to lift and load equipment into vehicle and unload at repair sites.
