Job Summary
This role is responsible for overseeing all sanitation operations on the night shift, ensuring that all areas of the manufacturing facility meet sanitation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sanitation programs and procedures in compliance with SSOP, HACCP, FDA, USDA, BRC, and SQF standards.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure all areas of the manufacturing facility meet sanitation standards.
- Train and supervise sanitation staff to ensure they understand and follow sanitation protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address any sanitation issues that may impact product quality.
- Monitor and control sanitation costs, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
- Lead investigations into sanitation-related issues and implement corrective and preventive measures.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a sanitation role within the food manufacturing industry.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of SSOP, HACCP, Food Safety, Quality, FDA, USDA, BRC, and SQF.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address sanitation issues promptly and effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate sanitation protocols and procedures to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work night shift and handle the physical demands of the job.
- Certified Professional Food Safety (CPFS) certification or equivalent is a plus.
