Job Details

Responsibilities

• Design, analyze, and simulate optical systems using state-of-the-art design software such as Zemax and CAD software.
• Develop and implement optical designs, including lens systems, mirrors, prisms, and other optical elements.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate optics into broader system designs.
• Conduct optical measurements and experiments to validate design models and system performance.
• Provide technical leadership in the selection of optical materials and manufacturing processes.
• Develop and implement testing protocols for optical systems, ensuring that designs meet all technical and quality requirements.
• Continuously monitor the latest trends and developments in the field of optics, incorporating new technologies and approaches into our work as appropriate.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to optical design and performance, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Optical Engineering, Physics, or a related field. A Master’s or Ph.D. is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in optical engineering, with a strong focus on optical design and analysis.
• Proficiency in using optical design software such as Zemax and CAD software.
• Solid understanding of optical principles and the ability to apply this knowledge to the design of optical systems.
• Experience in manufacturing and testing optical elements and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
• A track record of successful project management, demonstrating the ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
• A strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
