The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of California labor laws and have a proven track record of representing employers in employment-related disputes, compliance matters, and litigation.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Employment Law Associate Attorney with at least 8 years of management-side employment law experience, specializing in PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) claims. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of California labor laws and have a proven track record of representing employers in employment-related disputes, compliance matters, and litigation.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal counsel to management and employers on California labor law matters, with a focus on PAGA claims.
- Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as before administrative agencies.
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for employment litigation cases.
- Advise clients on compliance with California wage and hour laws, workplace policies, and employee relations.
- Develop and implement strategies for resolving employment disputes efficiently and effectively.
- Manage and mentor junior attorneys and support staff as needed.
- Stay informed about legislative and regulatory changes impacting employment law in California.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active membership and good standing with the California State Bar.
- At least 7 years of management-side employment law experience with significant expertise in PAGA claims.
- Strong knowledge of California labor and employment laws, including wage and hour laws, discrimination, and retaliation statutes.
- Excellent litigation and trial advocacy skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Established client relationships in California.
- Bilingual abilities, particularly in Spanish, are a plus.
