Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and interpret a wide range of legal documents related to patents, including patent applications and licensing agreements.
- Provide expert legal advice on a variety of patent issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Work closely with our clients to understand their business objectives and provide strategic legal advice to help achieve those objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive research on legal issues, case laws, and industry trends to inform decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the latest developments in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Software-Implemented Business Methods.
- Represent the firm in legal proceedings, including patent disputes and litigation.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to develop and implement effective legal strategies.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the State Bar in good standing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Patent Attorney, with a proven track record in patent preparation and prosecution.
- Solid understanding of Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, and Software-Implemented Business Methods.
- Excellent legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
