Responsibilities
As a Personal Injury Attorney, your primary responsibilities will include
- Representing clients who have been victims of car, truck, motorcycle, and pedestrian accidents, as well as those who have suffered catastrophic injuries.
- Conducting thorough investigations to identify all potential sources of recovery.
- Negotiating with insurance companies and other parties to ensure our clients receive the maximum possible compensation.
- Preparing and filing all necessary legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Conducting legal research to stay updated on the latest laws, regulations, and precedents related to personal injury law and specifically to motor vehicle accidents.
- Preparing for and representing clients in court, if necessary.
- Providing compassionate, personalized service to clients, keeping them informed about the progress of their case and answering their questions in a timely manner.
The successful candidate for this position will have
- Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Connecticut and New York, or actively working toward dual licensure
- A valid license to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 2-10 years of experience as a Personal Injury Attorney, with a focus on car, truck, motorcycle, and pedestrian accidents.
- Proven experience in handling catastrophic injury cases.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and deliver difficult news with empathy and understanding.
- Proficiency in legal research and the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
- A high level of organization and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and professionalism in the practice of law.
