We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Permanent Plumber to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. This role involves a range of tasks including inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in our plant equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in the plumbing field.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair plumbing systems in plant equipment and facilities.
• Install, repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and fixtures in commercial and industrial structures.
• Collaborate with team members and other trades to ensure the smooth operation of systems.
• Follow building plans and blueprints to understand the layout of plumbing, waste disposal, and water supply systems.
• Test plumbing systems for leaks and other problems.
• Analyze problem plumbing systems and develop appropriate solutions.
• Adhere to safety standards and building codes.
• Provide cost estimates for plumbing services to aid in making decisions for repairs and improvements.
• Respond to plumbing emergencies promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, work performed, and materials used.
  
  

Qualifications

• 5 years of plumbing experience, preferably within the construction industry.
• Proven experience in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and understanding building codes and safety regulations.
• Strong knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances.
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail.
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.
• Diploma from a trade school or successful completion of an apprenticeship.
• Valid plumbing license.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
