We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plumbing Estimator for our rapidly growing organization in the Mortgage industry. This individual will play a pivotal role in the evaluation and estimation of costs for various commercial and industrial plumbing construction projects. Responsibilities
As a Plumbing Estimator, you will be responsible for
- Generating accurate and comprehensive estimates for commercial and industrial plumbing construction projects.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and specifications.
- Evaluating blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to calculate project costs.
- Conducting site visits and inspections to gather necessary data for cost estimation.
- Preparing and presenting detailed cost reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders.
- Keeping abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure the accuracy and competitiveness of our estimates.
- Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and secure the best deals for materials and services.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of cost-saving strategies and initiatives.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of our estimation processes and systems.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in plumbing estimation, preferably in the commercial and industrial sectors.
- Proven expertise in plumbing systems and construction processes.
- Strong knowledge of cost estimation techniques and tools.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Exceptional numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- The ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and estimation software.
- A valid plumbing license or certification would be a plus.
