Procurement Manager Needed For Well Established Global Manufacturing Company

Salary $105,000 - $115,000 per year

Major activities/Key challenges
Leads a team of Buyer/Planners, Specialists, Strategic Sourcing & Estimating functions
Works in close conjunction and alignment with Capital and Category Procurement
Shares savings targets with Category Management on Plant-specific spends i.e. Performance areas Cost Savings (SRT), Supplier performance, challenging of material & service specifications (demand management), procurement organizational efficiency.
Monitors and controls plant procurement target achievement and initiates counter measures if necessary
Communicates supplier issues to BU Procurement Director and Category Management
Participates in supplier meetings jointly with Category colleagues if relevant for the Plant
Conducting Bidding of Capital Projects and Site Services
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited Institution. (Engineering, finance, business, or supply chain preferred)
5-10 years previous work experience in purchasing and/or supply chain management.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Certification - Certified Purchasing Manager (CPIM, CPM or CSCP) is preferred.
JD Edwards or Oracle Experience
Demonstrated flexibility over multiple categories and suppliers
Communication and negotiation skills
Project Management, able to manage resources and timelines
