Responsibilities

As a Product Development Engineer, your primary duties will include

• Developing and improving manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.
• Evaluating manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors.
• Assuring product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
• Providing manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
• Preparing product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
• Keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in product development within the manufacturing industry, with specific experience in injection molded
  
  

plastics.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, product development, and production management.
• Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks software and other engineering tools.
• A proactive approach, with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with various departments.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
