Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee day-to-day production line operations, ensuring schedules are met and quality standards are adhered to.
2. Implement and maintain safety procedures, ensuring all staff are trained and compliant with safety regulations.
3. Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production process.
4. Ensure compliance with HACCP, SQF, and GMP guidelines, conducting regular audits to verify compliance.
5. Coordinate with other departments, such as Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to ensure smooth operations.
6. Train and mentor production staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
7. Identify and resolve production issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
8. Report on production metrics and provide updates to senior management on production performance.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in meat production and processing.
2. Demonstrated knowledge of HACCP, SQF, and GMP guidelines.
3. Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
4. Strong leadership skills and ability to motivate and manage a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Ability to work flexible hours, including the possibility of working on 1st or 2nd shifts.
8. A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
