We are on the hunt for a dedicated and seasoned Project Manager to join our team. We specialize in building custom homes, and we need a Project Manager who shares our passion for creating unique, high-quality homes for our clients. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to lead projects from inception to completion, ensuring that our homes are built to the highest standards, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our custom home projects. Your duties will include

• Leading and managing the entire lifecycle of custom home projects, from initial planning and design to construction and final delivery.
• Developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, ensuring that all deadlines are met.
• Managing project budgets, including the preparation of financial reports and forecasts.
• Negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all work is completed to our high standards and within budget.
• Reviewing and approving all purchase orders for materials, ensuring that we get the best quality at the most cost-effective price.
• Overseeing the preparation and submission of all necessary documentation, including building permits, inspections, and final approvals.
• Leading and motivating our project teams, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.
• Resolving any issues or problems that arise during the project, using your strong problem-solving skills to find effective solutions.
• Communicating regularly with clients, keeping them informed of progress and addressing any concerns they may have.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have

• A minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry, with at least 3 years specifically in custom home building.
• Proven experience in managing all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, contract management, and team leadership.
• Strong negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successfully negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly and effectively resolve any issues or challenges that arise during a project.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• A strong understanding of construction materials and processes, with experience in reviewing and approving purchase orders for materials.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Strong time management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
