Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented SEC Reporting Accountant to join our finance team. This role will play a critical part in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with SEC regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and file SEC reports, including Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of earnings releases and related disclosures.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather data for financial statement preparation and disclosures.
- Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements by performing thorough reviews and analyses.
- Stay current with changes in SEC regulations and accounting standards, providing guidance on their impact.
- Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and quarterly reviews.
- Support the preparation and review of XBRL tagging for SEC filings.
- Assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and controls to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial reporting.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects, including mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and other strategic initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation strongly preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in SEC reporting, preferably in a public company or Big Four/public accounting firm.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX compliance.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and advanced Excel skills; experience with Workiva or similar software is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior management.
