We are seeking a skilled Consulting Purchasing/Inventory Specialist to join our Accounting Finance team. This role requires a strong background in inventory management, purchasing, organization, and vendor relations. The ideal candidate will have excellent collaboration skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the entire inventory process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular physical counts of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated reports.
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies, including vendor identification and contract negotiation.
- Maintain a well-organized inventory storage area for easy item location and retrieval.
- Coordinate with vendors for timely delivery of goods and services, adhering to company policy and standards.
- Collaborate with departments to forecast needs and plan future orders.
- Identify potential inventory shortages or excesses and propose solutions to management.
- Provide regular reports on inventory levels, purchases, and vendor performance to senior management.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within the Accounting Finance industry.
- Proven experience in inventory management and purchasing.
