We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency in our manufacturing processes. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for overseeing the activities of the quality assurance department and staff, developing and implementing quality assurance policies, and maintaining and improving our ISO compliant system. This position requires a strong leader with the ability to prioritize, plan, and direct the department. The ideal candidate will have a background in the manufacturing industry and a deep understanding of quality assurance standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of advanced composite materials and applications (consistent with established standards, customer specifications, and production goals).
• Supervise and mentor a team of quality control inspectors.
• Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
• Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
• Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
• Coordinate objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other plant managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Create, document, and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
• Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within the company.
• Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for product throughout the production cycle.
• Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
• Interact with vendors, customers, and company staff to ensure the stringent quality requirements of manufacturing products are met.
• Review and analyze quality performance metrics, identify trends, and develop solutions to improve quality and production efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s of Science Degree.
• 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager or relevant role.
• Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality assurance and standards.
• Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods.
• Great attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and databases.
• Outstanding communication skills.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Office and databases.
• Certifications including Quality Auditor, Quality Engineer, Quality Improvement Associate, Six Sigma a plus.
• Quality inspection, auditing, and testing experience.
• Experience with implementation of corrective action programs.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office, QA applications, and databases.
• Knowledge of tools, concepts, and methodologies of QA.
• Solid experience in effective usage of data analysis tools and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
