Are you passionate about food safety and quality management? Do you have a keen eye for detail and a solid background in the food manufacturing industry? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced FSQA Manager to join our manufacturing team. This permanent position is a key role within our organization, responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of our food safety and quality assurance program.

Responsibilities

As an FSQA Manager, you will

• Lead, manage and develop the FSQA team, ensuring compliance with all local, state, federal, and international regulations related to food safety and quality.
• Establish, implement, and maintain the company's food safety and quality management systems.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs), and other food safety and quality standards.
• Develop and implement robust HACCP plans, allergen control programs, and preventative controls.
• Coordinate and manage third-party audits, including SQF, Kosher, and HALAL certifications.
• Investigate and resolve any food safety or quality issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Work closely with production and operations teams to ensure optimal product quality and safety.
• Provide technical expertise and training to staff on food safety and quality matters.
• Continually review and update FSQA policies and procedures to reflect current best practices and regulatory changes.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have

• A Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong knowledge of food processing, food microbiology, and food science.
• Proven experience with PCQI, SQF, Kosher, and HALAL standards.
• Excellent knowledge of food safety, food quality, and sanitation principles.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in the use of quality management systems and related software.
• Certified SQF Practitioner is required.
