Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex loan documents, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct thorough real estate due diligence, including title and survey review, zoning review, and condominium review.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on matters related to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and HUD financing.
- Represent the firm in interactions with clients, opposing counsel, and court officials, maintaining a high level of professionalism at all times.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in real estate law and finance, applying this knowledge to provide cutting-edge advice to clients.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth and successful transactions.
- A Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in the state.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Real Estate Finance Associate, Real Estate Counsel, or similar role in the legal industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in commercial real estate, real estate finance, and real estate transactions.
- Proficiency in CRE finance, commercial lending, title review, survey review, and loan document drafting.
- Experience with real estate due diligence, zoning review, condominium review, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and multifamily housing.
- Familiarity with HUD financing.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- A commitment to maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.
