We are seeking a dynamic and highly analytical Finance Manager with a focus on Transportation to join our team. This role is integral to our financial infrastructure, with a focus on strategic planning, managing daily operations, and improving our financial performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities related to transportation and logistics, providing financial insights, and driving business growth. This role requires a deep understanding of finance, logistics, and supply chain operations. The incumbent will be expected to interact with various levels of management and contribute to the strategic direction of our transportation operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the financial management of transportation operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to transportation and logistics.
• Manage cash flow and treasury functions, ensuring the availability of funds and managing financial risks associated with transportation.
• Conduct variance analysis to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement.
• Handle month-end close processes and consolidations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Use advanced Excel and ERP systems to manage financial data and create financial models.
• Coordinate with the supply chain team to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control.
• Lead ad hoc financial projects and analyses to support strategic decision making.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Use Dynamics Great Plains to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. An MBA or equivalent is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance role with a focus on transportation or logistics.
• Proficient in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong knowledge of cash flow management, treasury functions, and financial reporting.
• Expertise in using advanced Excel, ERP systems, and Dynamics Great Plains.
• Experience in managing financial consolidations and month-end close processes.
• Solid understanding of general ledger management and financial regulations.
• Ability to conduct variance analysis and provide actionable insights.
• Experience in supply chain finance and logistics is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
