Are you an experienced Protection & Controls Substation Engineer looking for a challenging yet rewarding career opportunity? We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated individual to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will have the freedom to work remotely from the comfort of their own home. This exciting role requires a dynamic individual who is not only proficient in high voltage, 15-500 kV substations, calculations such as relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations, but also has a comprehensive understanding of Protection & Controls.

Responsibilities
As a Protection & Controls Substation Engineer, you will be entrusted with the following responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and supervise the installation and operation of high voltage, 15-500 kV substations.
- Conduct and interpret complex calculations related to relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Develop and implement Protection & Controls strategies to safeguard the integrity and efficiency of our substations.
- Collaborate closely with various teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to the substations.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all work, including designs, calculations, and analysis results.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations to ensure our systems are always at the forefront.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
To be considered for this exciting role, you must possess the following qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically with high voltage, 15-500 kV substations.
- Proficiency in conducting and interpreting relay burden, voltage drop, and short circuit calculations.
- Solid understanding and experience with Protection & Controls.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
