Our company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Associate for our Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) division. This is an incredible opportunity for a driven, ambitious professional with a solid background in managing key accounts, securing new logos, and expanding business territories. This role requires a strong understanding of the CPG sector, so someone with that experience is highly preferred. This role will require 50% travel to customers across Richmond to Northern Virginia.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow an assigned sales territory.
• Conduct cold calling and prospecting to generate new business and create new logos.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key accounts, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
• Implement strategies to increase market share and drive sales within the designated territory.
• Lead generation and pipeline management.
• Develop and present sales proposals and presentations to new and existing clients.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities, adapting strategies as necessary.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.
• Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the retail or CPG space.
• Proven track record in Territory Management, Account Management, and Direct Store Delivery Sales.
• Strong relationship building experience.
• Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned territory.
