Our organization, a leading player in the Energy industry, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Senior Accountant for our Operations team. The successful candidate will be a key player in our finance team, responsible for managing the financial health of our operations. This role is critical to the successful delivery of our financial objectives and overall business strategy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
• Collaborate with the operations team to drive operational efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve processes.
• Participate in the preparation of financial reports such as financial statements and budget performance.
• Ensure compliance with all internal processes and external regulations.
• Be responsible for the upstream process, ensuring the accuracy of financial data from the point of origin.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing necessary information and ensuring all audit requirements are met.
• Lead the implementation and management of ERP systems to streamline and automate financial processes.
• Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to senior management to aid in decision-making.
• Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
• Stay updated with industry trends and current accounting practices to ensure the company's financial performance is in line with industry standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the Energy industry.
• Solid experience with the upstream process in accounting.
• Proven experience in audit and ERP implementation.
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Proven ability to work closely with a senior management team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
• Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Office applications and accounting software programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
