Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations.
- Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
- Preparing budgeting reports and forecast revenues.
- Managing month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
- Organizing financial data into useable information and maintain updated records.
- Tracking the progress of financial and accounting objectives.
- Establishing and maintaining fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Ensuring compliance with the law.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is a plus.
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Senior Accountant managing the month end close and financials for the business.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and regulations.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes including budgeting, financial closure, and reporting.
- Experience managing company audits.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (especially excel) and accounting software (e.g. SAP).
- Well-organized with ability to prioritize.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
- A team player who can also work independently.
