Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including but not limited to
- Overseeing daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
- Participating in regular tax audits and payroll.
- Preparing budgeting reports and forecasting revenue.
- Ensuring the company's financial security by establishing internal controls.
- Managing month-end and year-end closing.
- Monitoring the daily performance of the accounting department.
- Organizing financial data into usable information and maintain updated records.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
- Contributing to the development of company financial strategies and plans.
- Collaborating with other departments and stakeholders to manage financial aspects.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the Accounting and Finance industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software, as well as a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Knowledge and experience in AP / AR is essential.
- Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent mathematical skills and an analytical mind.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage large amounts of data and compile detailed reports.
- Proven knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
- Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to a non-financial audience.
