The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our financial department, responsible for managing and overseeing various financial functions. These include monthly reporting, manufacturing accounting, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet, VLOOKUP, year-end close, income statement entries, cash flow, accruals, annual budget, intercompany, and advanced Excel.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Accountant, you will be expected to
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage and oversee A/R, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Oversee manufacturing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Handle fixed asset accounting, including depreciation schedules and reconciliation.
- Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
- Utilize VLOOKUP and advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting.
- Manage year-end close procedures, including all necessary entries and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze income statement entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor and project cash flow, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Prepare and record accruals, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Develop and manage the annual budget, working closely with department heads and senior management.
- Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Use advanced Excel functions for complex financial modeling and data analysis.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the construction industry.
- Proficient in financials, monthly reporting, A/R, manufacturing accounting, fixed asset accounting, balance sheet, monthly, VLOOKUP, year-end close, fixed assets, income statement, entries, cash flow, accruals, annual budget, intercompany, and advanced Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and other accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
