We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Senior Accountant for our manufacturing company. The successful candidate will play a key role in our accounting department, providing accurate and timely financial information to senior management to enable strategic decision-making. This is a permanent, full-time role, offering a competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties, including but not limited to:
1. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary.
2. Analyze and report on financial status including income statement variances, communicating financial results to management, budget preparation and analysis.
3. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of payables/receivables, purchase orders, petty cash, core employee expense reports, cash control, core payroll processing and total corporate payroll tax compliance.
4. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
5. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
6. Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
7. Oversee inventory management to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
8. Implement and uphold company policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget, and accounting.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Senior Accountant position, you must possess the following:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial software.
4. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
