Job Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Oversee the monthly closing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- Analyze labor reports, including job costing and variance analysis.
- Review and approve accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Ensure timely completion of quarterly payroll tax filings.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting.
- Monitor project costs and profitability.
- Collaborate with external auditors during year-end audits.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Experience with WIP closing and job costing.
- Knowledge of quarterly payroll taxes.
- General ledger closing experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly Excel.
- Accounting software experience, such as QuickBooks or Sage, is beneficial.
