We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Associate Attorney to join our dynamic Insurance Defense team. You will be part of a team that is responsible for representing a diverse clientele in complex insurance matters. The Senior Associate Attorney will work directly with partners and clients to handle caseloads from start to finish. This is a full-time, onsite position that demands a high level of commitment, expertise, and professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal representation to our clients in a wide array of insurance defense matters.
- Manage a significant caseload from inception to closure, including drafting pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
- Conduct and defend depositions, negotiate settlements, and represent clients in court.
- Develop and implement defense strategies, communicate with clients and opposing counsel, and prepare reports on case status.
- Stay updated on current legislation and legal processes related to insurance defense and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure best outcomes for clients, while also providing mentorship to junior attorneys.
- Participate in business development activities to attract and retain clients.
- Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Florida state bar and in good standing.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation, with a focus on 1st and 3rd party insurance matters.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a significant caseload from inception to closure.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and courtroom advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High degree of professionalism and adherence to strict confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Business development experience with a proven track record of attracting and retaining clients is a plus.
