The Senior Plant Accountant will take ownership of inventory and fixed asset accounting functions while partnering closely with plant operations and leadership. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for someone who enjoys diving into cost analysis, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence.

The Senior Plant Accountant will take ownership of inventory and fixed asset accounting functions while partnering closely with plant operations and leadership. This is a hands-on, onsite role ideal for someone who enjoys diving into cost analysis, improving processes, and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly costing and inventory reports
- Reconcile inventory accounts and maintain accuracy of standard costs
- Collaborate with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory levels and reduce costs
- Support physical inventory counts and BOM accuracy
- Manage fixed asset ledgers, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation
- Identify trends and help drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with inventory reserve analysis and potential write-offs
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally in a manufacturing or plant setting
- Understanding of GAAP, particularly as it relates to inventory
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems (SAGE a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams
