Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer
About the Job
This is a high-level role requiring a combination of advanced technical skills, team leadership, and project management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical design projects, conducting commercial drawing reviews, and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of projects, ensuring all designs meet the required specifications and standards.
- Performing detailed commercial drawing reviews to identify any potential issues and to ensure all designs are efficient, effective, and compliant.
- Providing expert guidance and support to junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
- Working closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Continuously monitoring and evaluating the latest electrical engineering technologies and methodologies, making recommendations for their implementation where appropriate.
- Ensuring all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations, as well as any other applicable codes and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within the engineering industry.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Extensive experience with electrical design and commercial drawing reviews.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
- Strong leadership skills, with proven experience leading a team of engineers.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and to deliver on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
