Our company is seeking a motivated and experienced Permanent Senior Estimator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our organization, providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of projects, including earthwork, highways, roads, and wastewater systems. This position requires a professional with a deep understanding of project management, contract management, procurement, and project bidding. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering high-quality work, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for various construction projects, including earthwork, highways, roads, and wastewater systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Review and evaluate project plans and specifications to identify potential cost factors.
• Manage and coordinate the procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and resources.
• Participate in project bidding processes, preparing detailed proposals and bid documents.
• Monitor project progress, comparing actual costs with estimates and adjusting project budgets as necessary.
• Provide regular updates and reports to management on project costs and progress.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure competitive pricing.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in cost estimation techniques.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cost estimation or a related role in the construction industry.
• Proven experience with project management, contract management, procurement, and project bidding.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in estimating software and other industry-related technology.
• Excellent numerical skills and a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret and analyze complex technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of wastewater systems, highways, and roads construction will be a significant advantage.
• Professional certification in cost estimation or project management will be considered a plus.
