Job Details
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on complex family law matters including divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and paternity cases.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and negotiations.
- Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, responses, pretrial orders, and trial briefs.
- Conduct thorough case analysis and develop effective litigation strategies.
- Collaborate with our legal team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Virginia family law and court procedures.
- Conduct client consultations and handle all client communication professionally and confidentially.
- 5 years in family law with litigation experience.
- JD degree from an accredited law school.
- Active admission to the Virginia State Bar.
- Proven track record of successful representation in complex family law cases.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and courtroom demeanor.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.
- Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
