Responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst, your key responsibilities will include
- Conducting detailed financial analysis and developing comprehensive financial models to support decision making.
- Participating in budgeting, forecasting, and various financial planning processes.
- Presenting financial results and forecasts to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives and identify financial implications.
- Evaluating financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
- Providing financial advice and guidance to various departments within the organization.
- Identifying and driving process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel dashboards.
- Monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs, identifying cost reduction opportunities.
- Ensuring compliance with financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
To qualify for the role of Senior Financial Planning Analyst, you must possess the following
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certifications (such as CFA, CPA) would be an advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
- Strong proficiency in financial modeling and forecasting.
- Solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles.
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- Knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, on multiple projects.
- Strong attention to detail, with a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
