To be considered for this opportunity, you must have experience in Mission Critical Facilities and/or Data Centers and have a degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. The ideal candidate will have experience with subcontractor management, design/build, technical PM type experience in the mission critical field.
Responsibilities
- Oversee project management and provide technical engineering support for large enterprise expansion projects.
- Prepare designs, specifications, and drawings for the repair, replacement, or upgrade of building electrical, mechanical, and related systems. Manage the RFP process.
- Lead project teams and subcontractors to ensure timely, high-quality, budget-friendly, and safe project completion while meeting client satisfaction goals.
- Organize project management activities, including budget review, schedule updates, and establishing communication standards.
- Offer consulting services by evaluating building systems and providing recommendations for improvements.
- Build strong client relationships and identify new project opportunities. Maintain a network with local contractors.
- Manage the preparation of designs and RFPs for the repair and upgrade of electrical and mechanical systems. Oversee contract awards and activity through completion.
- Provide construction administration for system repairs and upgrades. Coordinate subcontractors to ensure proper installation and service delivery.
- Collaborate with clients and vendors to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications.
- Keep detailed records of all installed systems and components.
- Analyze and evaluate building electrical and mechanical systems, emphasizing power, lighting, safety, and security.
- Prepare and review reports, identifying necessary actions and cost estimates.
- Provide engineering and project management support for data center operations. Troubleshoot emergencies and oversee resolutions.
- Provide ongoing technical support and manage vendor relationships.
- Continue building a local contractor network.
- Bachelor’s in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and organization.
- Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
- Knowledge of construction, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
- Travel as needed for project requirements.
