The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in preconstruction planning, estimation, and project management. Responsibilities
- Oversee all preconstruction activities including project evaluation, feasibility, design, estimating, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with the project team to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, architects, and subcontractors to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Conduct detailed risk assessments and develop strategic mitigation plans.
- Provide accurate and timely project estimates and budgets.
- Review and negotiate contracts and bids.
- Work closely with the construction team to ensure a smooth transition from preconstruction to construction stages.
- Lead and mentor a team of estimators and project managers.
- Attend and actively participate in project meetings, providing insights and updates on preconstruction activities.
- Ensure all preconstruction activities are in compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction planning, estimation, and project management.
- Proven experience in commercial construction estimating and healthcare construction.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in using construction management software and tools.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make informed, strategic decisions.
- Knowledge of construction laws and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving and strong project management skills.
