We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Project Accountant to join our dynamic real estate development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial aspects of multiple real estate development projects, while also assist with assisting the outsourced accounting team as well.
Prepare and maintain detailed financial models and budgets for real estate development projects
Manage project-specific accounting records, tracking expenses, revenues, and cash flow
Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and executive leadership to provide financial insights
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for development portfolios
Assist in preparing financial statements and supporting documentation for internal and external stakeholders
Monitor project profitability and provide recommendations for cost optimization
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field but not required (experience over education)
4 years of experience in Project/Development accounting (preferably from Real Estate or a General Contractor)
Ideally experience with systems such as Yardi, RealPage, or MRI (can be trained but ideally have one of those 3)
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to be flexible, work on multiple projects
