Join our team as a Senior Project Engineer in San Diego, CA, and make a significant impact on landmark projects in the Southern California area. As a member of the team, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary group of industry-leading experts to help clients and communities turn their dreams into reality. Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
BSCE degree and CA Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer.
Minimum of 15 years of directly relevant experience or 18 years of equivalent work experience in the industry.
Local San Diego County and California experience preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Ability to sustain positive business relationships, obtain new work, and market RICK's services.
Active involvement in community and professional societies and organizations.
Independent thought and decision-making abilities.
Excellent communication skills.
Minimum of 5 years of management experience supervising technical staff.
Exceptional customer service and client relationship management.
Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
Strong team player.
Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with clients, public-agency personnel, and in-house staff.
Managerial Experience:
Management of construction bid documents and contracts.
Management of construction support and field coordination.
Management of project schedules and budgets.
Preparation of contracts, comprehensive fee proposals, and scopes of work for private land development projects and public works pursuits.
Significant experience in client and public-agency interactions.
Technical Experience:
Ability to perform conceptual and preliminary engineering design studies, considering land use, zoning, site constraints, infrastructure requirements, and regulatory issues.
Preparation and processing of regulatory plans and public improvement plans (private offsite work and public works).
Ability to perform constructability reviews.
Experience with a range of construction support services.
Knowledge of jurisdictional codes, standards, and procedures in California and the San Diego region is strongly preferred.
AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience is required.
