Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project delivery for sophisticated building automation and integration projects across healthcare, commercial, industrial, and mission-critical sectors.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, software technicians, construction managers, and subcontractors, to ensure smooth execution and quality outcomes.
- Own project documentation—from MOPs and submittals to commissioning plans, close-out packages, and as-built records.
- Serve as the primary client contact for day-to-day communication, schedule updates, and high-level coordination.
- Oversee project financials, including forecasting, budget tracking, profitability, and billing schedules.
- Identify and mitigate risk, adjust plans proactively, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Participate in internal planning sessions, external stakeholder meetings, and technical design reviews.
- Ensure QA/QC processes are followed throughout all phases of execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering, or related technical discipline (preferred)
- Experience working with mission-critical environments such as data centers, large healthcare facilities, or life sciences campuses.
- 8 years of experience in Building Automation Systems or Controls projects, with at least 2 years leading projects in a PM capacity.
- Strong familiarity with open protocols like BACnet, Modbus, SNMP, and platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Distech, and similar systems.
- Proficiency with construction and project management tools like Procore, MS Project, and the full Microsoft Office Suite.
- Working knowledge of networking concepts (VLANs, IP addressing, RSTP, LAN/WAN), especially in relation to smart building technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, communicate with clients, and maintain accountability across all stakeholders.
- OSHA or NFPA70E certification (or willingness to obtain).
