We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our Accounting and Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial, retail, and shopping center properties. This includes preparing financial statements, budgets, CAM reconciliations, and other accounting reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting, with a particular emphasis on commercial and retail properties. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Property Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include
- Overseeing all accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of commercial, retail, and shopping center properties.
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Conducting CAM reconciliations and preparing related reports.
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Coordinating with property managers to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data.
- Ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures.
- Participating in the annual audit process.
- Providing guidance and support to junior accounting staff.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in property accounting, with a focus on commercial and retail properties.
- Proficiency in Yardi and MRI accounting software.
- Proven experience with CAM reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- CPA certification is a plus.
