Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement high-quality software solutions in the accounting and finance domain.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs.
- Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
- Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
- Provide leadership to junior engineers, including code reviews, guidance on best practices, and technical direction.
- Engage in system performance optimization and scalability.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into functional and efficient software solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirement analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering, specifically in DevOps.
- Proven experience in designing and developing software solutions in the accounting and finance industry.
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
- Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and deployment strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to write clean, efficient, and reusable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of the principles of secure, stable software design.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complexities and how components connect and relate to each other.
