We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Permanent Senior Substation Engineer to join our dynamic team in the energy sector. We are a leading company in the energy industry, committed to delivering sustainable energy solutions to our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and maintenance of substations and will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our power grid.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Substation Engineer, your main duties will include

• Overseeing the design and development of substation projects, ensuring they meet technical specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Conducting complex engineering analyses and studies related to substation design and performance.
• Utilizing software such as WinIGS and CDEGS to model and analyze electrical systems.
• Coordinating with other engineers and professionals on multi-discipline projects.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
• Ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of substations, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Developing and implementing strategies to improve substation reliability and efficiency.
• Managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Staying updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and regulations, and applying this knowledge to your work.
  
  

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Senior Substation Engineer position should have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree or Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in substation engineering, with a focus on substation design and operation.
• Proficiency in using engineering software such as WinIGS and CDEGS.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, substation components, and industry regulations.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex engineering data and make informed decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
