We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Manager to join our Top 50 public accounting firm. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our firm's tax operations. The ideal Senior Tax Manager candidate will have an active CPA and experience with a ride range of returns. Open to all locations across the country - ideally 3-4 days in office, 1-2 days remote.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee the tax department's operations, ensuring compliance with local, state, federal, and international tax laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies that align with the firm's business objectives.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
• Proactively identify and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
• Provide expert tax advice to clients, helping them make informed financial decisions.
• Lead and manage a team of tax professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Stay updated with the latest developments in tax laws and regulations, and ensure the firm's compliance with these changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filing of tax returns.
• Participate in business development initiatives, building and maintaining relationships with clients.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's Degree or CPA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on tax planning and compliance.
• Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations at the local, state, federal, and international levels.
• Proven experience in preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
• Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex tax issues to clients and team members.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software and other relevant accounting tools.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to identify and mitigate tax risks and liabilities.
