What We're Looking For
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Technical Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment, with a focus on technical leadership. They will also have proficiency in sheet metal fabrication techniques, such as forming, riveting, swedging, and brake press operations.
Responsibilities
1. Plan, coordinate, and oversee all activities related to sheet metal fabrication, including forming, riveting, swedging, and brake press operations.
2. Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, GD&T, and 3D tolerance calculations to ensure accurate production.
3. Implement and maintain Lean manufacturing principles to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
4. Conduct regular quality checks using tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges, ensuring all products meet set specifications.
5. Perform hands-on tasks such as polishing, burr removal, break edge operations, and radi operations to ensure the highest quality finish on all products.
6. Operate and maintain a variety of machinery, including drill presses, sanders, girt blast machines, and CNC machines.
7. Train and mentor team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to safety standards.
8. Collaborate with engineering and design teams to troubleshoot issues and implement effective solutions.
9. Manage resources effectively, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
10. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to all company policies and industry regulations.
