Our organization is seeking a passionate and experienced Specification Writer to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to leverage your technical writing skills and engineering knowledge to create and maintain comprehensive specifications for our diverse range of engineering projects. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in translating complex technical information into clear, concise, and actionable specifications that will guide our engineering teams towards successful project completion. This role is a perfect fit for those who have a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of engineering concepts, and a passion for creating effective written resources.

Responsibilities

• Create, revise, and maintain detailed specifications for all engineering projects, ensuring they meet both internal and external standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand project requirements and translate them into clear, concise, and comprehensive specifications.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documents to create accurate and detailed specifications.
• Ensure all specifications are compliant with relevant industry standards, regulations, and guidelines.
• Work closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure specifications align with project goals and objectives.
• Conduct regular specification audits to ensure they are up-to-date, accurate, and effective.
• Provide technical writing support and guidance to engineering teams as needed.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in technical writing, specifically in creating and maintaining specifications within the engineering industry.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and actionable specifications.
• Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other technical writing tools.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and guidelines related to engineering specifications.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and strategically.
