We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr. Billing Specialist to join our growing team in the construction industry. This position plays a vital role in managing and maintaining our financial health. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, preparing, and processing all billings and collections activities. They will ensure our financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date, and they will work closely with our clients to ensure timely payments. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of financial principles.

Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Sr. Billing Specialist to join our growing team in the construction industry. This position plays a vital role in managing and maintaining our financial health. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling, preparing, and processing all billings and collections activities. They will ensure our financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date, and they will work closely with our clients to ensure timely payments. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of financial principles.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee all aspects of billing and collections, ensuring all transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Generate and send out invoices to clients, ensuring they are accurate and reflect the correct services and costs.
- Coordinate and execute the payment allocation process, ensuring all payments are correctly applied to the appropriate accounts.
- Process adjustments to billings and payments as necessary, ensuring all changes are accurately reflected in our financial system.
- Handle customer invoicing, working closely with clients to resolve any billing disputes or issues.
- Process receipts, ensuring all payments are correctly recorded and deposited.
- Reconcile accounts on a regular basis, identifying and resolving any discrepancies.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure the accuracy and completeness of all billing information.
- Maintain detailed records of all billing activities, including invoices, payments, adjustments, and reconciliations.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a billing or financial role, preferably within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of billing and collections processes and principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial staff and clients.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in using financial software and systems, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve billing and collections issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Certification in Billing and Coding, or a related field, is a plus.
