We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the Municipal Civil construction/architecture industry. The candidate will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for municipal and capital improvement projects. This includes but is not limited to storm water management, roadway lighting, bulkheading, topo surveying, water and waste water treatment, industrial wastewater, and power distribution systems. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical design and the development of electrical plans, as well as a strong commitment to safety, quality, and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, and implement complex electrical systems for municipal and capital improvement projects.
2. Work closely with the project team to ensure that designs are in line with project specifications, codes, and standards.
3. Perform detailed calculations to establish standards and specifications.
4. Conduct technical studies and evaluations of electrical systems, providing recommendations for improvements and upgrades.
5. Provide technical support for project execution, including troubleshooting and problem-solving.
6. Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and equipment schedules.
7. Oversee project workflow and ensure timely completion of tasks.
8. Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure project success.
9. Maintain and apply current knowledge of design software, codes, and standards related to electrical engineering.
10. Ensure safety and quality control throughout all stages of project execution.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on electrical systems design and implementation.
3. Proficiency in DSDC, storm water management, roadway lighting, bulkheading, topo surveying, water treatment, waste water treatment, industrial wastewater, power and control systems, and power distribution.
4. Extensive experience in electrical design and the development of electrical plans.
5. Proven track record of successful project management, with the ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
8. Proficient in the use of electrical design software and tools.
9. Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.
10. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
