We are seeking an experienced and dynamic full time Sr. Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of all project estimates and bids, ensuring that all aspects of the job are accurately represented and budgeted for. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. Our ideal candidate is a resourceful professional with a deep understanding of the construction industry, specifically in electrical work, and a proven track record in project estimation.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic full time Sr. Estimator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for the preparation and coordination of all project estimates and bids, ensuring that all aspects of the job are accurately represented and budgeted for. This role requires a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality work. Our ideal candidate is a resourceful professional with a deep understanding of the construction industry, specifically in electrical work, and a proven track record in project estimation.
Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for electrical construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Review and analyze project documents and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
- Utilize advanced software such as Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, and Accubid to prepare and manage estimates.
- Coordinate with project managers, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to gather all necessary data for estimates.
- Develop and maintain a database of pricing and construction costs for future reference.
- Participate in proposal presentations and client meetings.
- Monitor and compare actual project costs against estimated costs, identifying and explaining variances.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure that projects are carried out according to plan and within budget.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in construction management and estimation technologies.
- Mentor and train bid team and estimating team
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimation, specifically in electrical work.
- Proficiency in construction management and estimation software, including Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project, and Accubid.
- Strong knowledge of construction operations and processes, with a focus on electrical work.
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with the ability to create accurate estimates and budgets.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from clients, vendors, and team members.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
