Job Details

Responsibilities

As a Staff Accountant, you will

• Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances.
• Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close process.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and recommendations.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data and produce relevant financial reports.
• Understand and manage commissions and compensation plans.
  
  

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role within the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of aftermarket products.
• Proficiency in A/R, Year End Close, and AP.
• Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to create complex formulas, pivot tables, and macros.
• Solid experience in forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
• Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting principles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
