If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are seeking a Permanent Staff Accountant to join our reputable company in the finance industry. This role is an integral part of our finance team and will play a key role in maintaining our financial health and driving our company's financial operations.
Responsibilities
As a Permanent Staff Accountant, your key responsibilities will include
- Participating in the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded and reported.
- Performing bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis to maintain accurate financial records.
- Managing intercompany billings and charge billings, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Calculating and booking various accruals to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assisting in monthly financial reporting, providing critical data to inform business decisions.
- Administering budgets, working closely with various departments to ensure financial targets are met.
- Conducting a detailed review of the accounts payable process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
- Resolving general accounts receivable issues, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure prompt payment.
- Managing fixed assets, ensuring all assets are accurately accounted for and depreciated correctly.
- Administering the company's credit card program, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and accounted for.
- Providing direct support to the Controller, assisting with various tasks as needed.
The ideal candidate for the Permanent Staff Accountant role will have the following qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the finance industry.
- A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a particular focus on month-end close, bank reconciliations, general ledger reconciliations, intercompany billings, charge billings, and accrual calculations.
- Proven experience with financial reporting, budget administration, accounts payable review, accounts receivable management, fixed asset management, and credit card program administration.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
